Doubts and Questions

Can I be honest about my doubts?

It can be tempting to keep questions about God or the Church to yourself, especially when everyone around you seems sure of what they believe. Father Tim encourages people to be honest about their doubts. Drawing on the story of Saint Thomas, he reflects on how sincere questions can become an opportunity for a deeper encounter with Jesus.

Do not be unbelieving, but believe.John 20:27

You can bring the questions you actually have.

Thomas did not pretend to believe something he could not yet see. Father Tim admires that honesty and encourages us to bring our questions into the open. Doubt does not have to be hidden; it can become part of a sincere search for truth and a relationship with Christ.
